In August 2004 Carnegie Mellon Qatar began offering undergraduate degrees in business administration and computer science. Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar delivers a Carnegie Mellon curriculum, maintaining our academic standards, values, and principles. Next year, we will unveil a state-of-the-art facility at Qatar's burgeoning Education City, with classrooms, computer labs and a spectacular indoor atrium. The facility will provide a stimulating atmosphere in a technologically advanced building, sparking the kind of academic excellence that is the hallmark of Carnegie Mellon students around the world. Education City, set amidst 2,500 acres, continues to add new academic and research buildings along with housing, shopping, sports and recreational facilities. Education City hosts students, staff and faculty hail from more than two dozen countries, representing the finest colleges and universities in the world.
